TEAM TDU HAS URGENT APPEAL FOR KIDS LIBRARY BOOKS!

It's a New Year and if you're decluttering - please consider donating your gently-used kids books to our Library!  We have a need for preschool, elementary and young adult books we can either share in our Library or give to kids at various reading events.  Unused coloring or brain teaser books are also greatly appreciated!

Holiday Pet Photos

Join your friends at Therapy Dogs United for our 2019 Holiday Pet Photos!  Professional photographs will be taken by Erie photographer Rob Frank of R. Frank Media.   A $25 sitting fee will be directly donated to Therapy Dogs United along with a portion of all photo or holiday card sales.

TDU Recognizes 2019 Volunteer of the Year

Therapy Dogs United celebrated our 2019 Volunteer of the Year on Friday, November 1, 2019 at The Concourse at Union Station.  More than 115 friends of TDU, family, clients and volunteers attended this years annual event.  TDU was honored to recognize our 2019 Volunteer of the Year, Nancy Russo.  Nancy has been a dedicated volunteer with her therapy dog Murphy since 2017 and was nominated a volunteer of the year by several of her fellow volunteers.  Congrats Nancy and Murphy for a job well done!

10th Anniversary Erie Insurance Charity Challenge

Tremendous thank you to Smith Provision Company (Smith's Hotdogs) who golfed for Therapy Dogs United in the 10th annual charity golf challenge at the Kahkwa Club.  This fantastic foursome took top honors for an unprecedented First Place finish and $18,000 to benefit TDU!  Therapy Dogs United has earmarked the funds to directly benefit our physically disabled clients and those with emotional difficulties, as well as the many senior citizens we will visit during the 2019 holiday season through our PawGram Holiday Delivery Program.

A.B.A.T.E. of PA ~ Erie County Chapter Supports TDU Mission

Glenwood Pet Hospital Pet Photos Benefit TDU

Special thanks to the awesome staff at Gelnwood Pet Hospital on Peach Street in Erie for donating proceeds from a recent "Pics with Pets" photo shoot to Therapy Dogs United.  Erie photographer Eric Smyklo donated his time and skillsl to make the photo shoot come together.  Special thanks also to Katie Smyklo, Erica Jewell, DVM, Jan Eisert and Kristine Yurkovic.  Together they raised $1183.50 we will have earmarked for our special needs visiting therapy dog programs!

School Days for TDU Dogs!

School is back in full swing ~ and that means it's back to business for our certified therapy dogs! Here is the welcome message for students, faculty and friends at the Barber National Institute this week: 


"Welcome back to our pet therapy dogs who are here for another school year! We love Shiloh, a 9-year-old standard poodle, and all of our other canine friends who come to visit our students. Looking forward to more beautiful friendships!"

Fun times are coming our way again on Tuesday, August 6th!  Our certified therapy dogs along with our award winning Perry 200 "ScallyWag" float are invited to be a part of the festivities at Erie's "National Night Out ~ Party in the Park" on Tuesday, August 6th.  The fun gets underway at 6 p.m. at Gridley Park, 6th and Liberty in Erie.  When you see our team of therapy dog volunteers, don't forget to stop by and say Woof!
